The Andalusian stallion Imperioso D (pronounced eem pear ee OH so) is a 16.3 hand grey stallion with a 22-cm cannon bone and has an impressive line of parents and grandparents. Several full sisters of this stallion are were kept as broodmares at Kimric Farm (Denham Ranch). One of Imperioso's grandsires is Leviton (the number one ranked breeding stallion for the Military until he died) and the other is Vasallo II (number one ranked breeding stallion in LIMPRE the Spanish book of merits). Imperioso is a son of Quisas III who was imported by Denham Ranch in 1987 from the famous Yeguada Cardenas in Spain.

The Cardenas stud which produced Imperioso's dam also produced Hereo MAC (sire of Celtica DD) as well as Jugueton V, sire of the breeding stallion Remate.
