Baones Bloodlines from Spain

by Donna DeYoung

This is an article about the Yeguada Herederos de Don Fernando Baones Gonzales breeder of Spanish horses (PREs) in Spain.

Don Fernando Baones Martín was a military doctor who established a Spanish farm with Pure Spanish Andalusian horses in 1890. When Don Fernando died, the horse farm was taken over by his two sons Fernando and Misael Baones Bolaños. The farm passed down through the family and was split in 1996 into Fernando Baones Gonzalez and Misael Baones Gonzales (renamed to Yeguada Herederos de Don Fernando Baones Gonzales in 1998).
